UNISON Learning Café
10 September 2024 2:00p–3:00pm
Join the next Learning Café on September 10 2.00 – 3.30pm
This session will be focussing on Multiply Funding – including an overview of what it is, how to access it, success stories and case studies.
We will also be discussing preparation for the upcoming Financial Wellbeing Fortnight – November 11-22
There will also be opportunity to discuss any other learning and education questions you have!
The learning cafes are always great places to explore and share ideas, suggestions, issues and best practice, in a supportive and informal setting.

Getting started with Mentoring Skills and Practice

If you are interested in mentoring skills and want to find out more about it, then this course could be just the right place to start.
Mentoring offers the potential to build and develop confidence. It offers techniques to work through a particular issue. It can act as a sounding board to help resolve any potential conflict or barrier.

Cruse: Loss and Bereavement Awareness
17 September 2024 10:15am–12:45pm
This online workshop is open to any UNISON members but is particularly aimed at those who regularly deal with bereaved people as part of their job. The session will reflect on the grieving process, seeking greater understanding of current models on grief that can help those facing loss.

Climate Anxiety Workshop
19 September 2024 12:30pm–2:00pm
Join us for a 90 minute webinar to find out more about climate anxiety and how you can support yourself and others to turn fear into hope, and hope into action.

Cruse: Loss and Bereavement in Children and Young People
19 September 2024 4:00pm–6:30pm
This workshop is for UNISON members who work with children and young people who want to build greater awareness of the impact of bereavement and grief. This course can inform how they respond to bereaved children and young people, whether they are pupils, students, or friends and family. Learn about use of appropriate language and dealing with anger and distress.

Mental Health in Children and Young People Awareness
25 September 2024 9:30am–11:30am
The training will help to improve understanding and responsiveness to the mental health needs of children and young people. Participants will be empowered with knowledge and practical tools to support mental well-being both in professional and personal setting
