On Monday 28th April (11:45AM to 1:15PM) we are holding a webinar to launch a new report called “Greening social care: a just transition to cleaner transport.”
The report, which is focussed on domiciliary care, contains recommendations on:
Transport is the UK’s biggest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. Achieving Net Zero by 2050 requires a shift to cleaner vehicles and more sustainable transport. While every sector must play its part, social care is being left behind – and homecare workers, who rely heavily on personal cars to visit clients on tight schedules, are at risk of being disproportionately affected by transport decarbonisation policies.
Join us for the launch of Campaign for Better Transport’s latest report on how to ensure a just transition for carers. Our findings reveal the stark realities homecare workers face in the shift to sustainable transport. Without targeted support, these essential workers risk being left behind.
This event will explore six practical and equitable solutions to ensure homecare workers can continue delivering care without bearing the brunt of transport decarbonisation policies.
