Reclaim The Night
George, Brenda, and some of the UNISON Fife team are all set up for a powerful Reclaim the Night!
On Wednesday 3rd December we stand together to highlight the ongoing reality of gender-based violence and the urgent need for safer streets, workplaces, and communities for women and girls.
Reclaim the Night is more than an event — it’s a statement that nobody should have to live with fear, harassment, or intimidation because of their gender.
By marching together, we’re raising our voices for change, for accountability, and for a future where everyone can move freely and safely.
We will not be silent. We will not stop demanding better.
UNISON Fife were proud sponsors of the event and it was great to see a lot of our members, Branch Officers and Stewards attending.
The march was a powerful show of strength and solidarity, as women and allies came together to demand safer streets for women and girls.
With voices raised and banners held high, the march highlighted a shared determination to challenge violence, harassment, and fear.
Every step taken was a reminder that safety is a right, not a privilege, and that communities must stand united to create streets where women and girls can walk confidently, day or night.
